FINE FLEECE BREEDER

Monga Alpacas is a Huacaya alpaca breeder. The stud is located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, 20 kilometers East of Braidwood off the Kings Highway.

This area of the Southern Tablelands is about 750 metres above sea level. The afternoon sea breeze often generates low cloud that engulfs the property and surrounding forest in, what the locals refer to as, the Monga Mist.

Historically the area has averaged 1500 millimeters of rainfall annually however, over the last 20 years, this has fallen to about 1100 millimeters.

​​Our stud males and their progeny have been awarded numerous broad ribbons both in the show ring and for their fleeces including SUPREME, MOST VALUABLE COMMERCIAL FLEECE and CHAMPION at major shows. This also includes being awarded several perpetual trophies for their fleece
